Android TV continues to grow with 7,000 apps

Since Google released new statistics on its platform, the growth of Android TV has been slow but steady.

The Android TV platform is a special version of the Android operating system for digital media players, speakers, and televisions.

The Android TV platform has been around for several years, but its usage is still sparse when compared to big competitors like (Roku) and (Amazon Fire TV).

Along with some new changes to the platform, Google also announced that (Android TV) increased its users by more than 80% compared to the same period last year.

This of course doesn't give us many users (Android TV), but it does represent a vision for developing the platform.

It should also be noted that the application (Android TV) provides information about the number of people who have at least tried the Google platform.

Recently, more than 50,000,000 have been installed on Google Play Store listing for YouTube app on Android TV platform.

This means that since the Android TV platform debuted in 2014, at least 50 million individual users or devices have installed the YouTube app.

Additionally, Google announced that the Android TV app store will continue to grow.

The company confirmed the availability of more than 5,000 apps at its annual Google I / O 2019 developer conference last year. Since then, the total has grown to 7,000, including (HBO Max) and other major new features.

As users are demanding more TV shows, movies and apps than ever before, big screens are becoming very important.

The percentage of active Android TV devices increased by more than 80% compared to the previous year. By working with 7 of the top 10 smart TV manufacturers and more than 160 TV players, users have more ways to enjoy Android TV.

Google also confirmed that it currently has 160 TV operator partners around the world, compared to just 130 in the previous report. Pay TV subscriptions are the main source of growth for the Android TV platform.
