Apple is expanding its standalone repair program for Mac computers

Apple announced Monday that it has expanded its program to provide parts and training for independent repair shops to Mac-series computers.

Apple originally launched the software last year, but only for the iPhone. The company's best-selling product. Previously used by Mac users. Use Apple TV or an authorized warranty provider to repair and ship parts directly from Apple.

Apple reported last month that quarterly Mac sales rose 21.6% to $ 7 billion as many employees work from home. According to research firm IDC, its market share rose to 7.3% in the second quarter, compared to 6.3% in the same period last year.

“When the equipment needs to be repaired, we want employees to have a safe and reliable solution.” Apple's Director of Operations (Jeff Williams) said, “The latest expansion will join the thousands of repair sites we added last year.” He added, “We look forward to providing a convenient and reliable repair experience. For Mac users.

The company's repair methods have changed after many years of claims of repair rights. The repair rights criticized the company and asked it to supply companies like Best Buy with original parts and training manuals. The device is covered by the warranty. Small businesses felt that joining the program was too expensive due to the large number.

As part of its "Independent Maintenance Program," Apple began offering free parts sales and training courses for independent stores to conduct activities beyond the warranty period.

The company announced on Monday that it has updated program and training materials based on feedback from independent companies and other interested parties.
