Amazon has officially announced the launch of its podcast feature on Amazon Music

Amazon announced today (Wednesday) that its music streaming service has added podcast capabilities to Amazon, causing Spotify's stock price to drop more than 6%.

The US e-commerce giant said in a statement: Users in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and Japan can play the podcast (Amazon Music) for free at all levels of the service.

The company offers users a number of paid, free, and ad-supported options to access Amazon Music. With an annual subscription of $ 119, major customers also have access to over 2 million songs without ads.

Due to the increasing competition in the industry, the company will launch a podcast job. Spotify invested heavily in the production of the original podcast and acquired four companies to expand its podcast library, including Ringer, Gimlet Media, Anchor, and Parcast. Meanwhile, Apple's Podcast app hosts a large amount of free content and is installed by default on iPhone.

The company provides original and specific content to the listeners. In addition to the original shows that were exclusively produced for celebrities such as producer (DJ Khaled), actor (Will Smith), sports broadcaster (Dan Patrick) and musician (Becky G). Starting in February, Amazon will be the exclusive agent for the popular podcast program Disgraceland.

The PKG-hosted multimedia podcast program will show a new integration between Amazon Music and Twitch that was announced earlier this month. This feature allows musicians to link their personal files on Amazon video sites to streaming services so that users can watch Twitch content directly in music apps.

When users ask their devices to play a podcast, the company said, their echo devices pull the content from Amazon's music library.
