| Apple wants to improve App Store discovery |
Apple has signed a deal with venture capitalist Josh Elman (Josh Elman) to boost app store discovery.
Apple has hired popular venture capitalist Elman, vice president of product for stock trading app Robinhood, to help improve iOS app discovery.
Announcing the news on his Twitter account, Elman said: He will continue to be a partner on the Greylock Partners board of directors and a board member in well-known tech companies (such as Discord and Mittel).
Elman's joining the App Store team may help improve Apple's relationship with developers after a difficult year as critics, competitors and regulators have questioned Apple's control of the business.
Among Elman's most successful investments now are Apple's rival SmartThings, current smart home technology company Samsung, and the chat program HouseParty, now owned by the developer Epic Games. Fourteen days.
