The MCM1110MMLC LC optical media converter provides a simple way to extend the network over gigabit optical fibers (in full duplex mode, the maximum data transfer rate is 1000Mbps). It is equipped with a multi-mode (mini-Gbic) SFP transceiver that converts the RJ45 Ethernet connection with copper into gigabit fibers, thus extending the network over greater distances or connecting workstations to switches.
