The South Korean technology giant has created a new line of laptop screens by posting a video on YouTube titled "Samsung OLED for Laptops: Superb Image Quality".

Samsung claims in the video that its screen can provide DCI-P3 color gamut coverage of 120%, while conventional displays can provide DCI-P3 coverage of 74%.

Other benefits of the company's new laptop screen include pure black (0.0005 nits) and a high contrast ratio of 1,000,000: 1.

The display also has functionality in dark scenes and lighting details. Samsung said at the end of the video, its laptop screen brings every picture to life.

Samsung's 2021 line of laptops was announced last month and includes the Galaxy Book Flex 2, Galaxy Book Flex 2 5G, Galaxy Book Ion 2 and Notebook Plus 2.

Although there are no laptops that use these screens, Samsung plans to launch more laptops with OLED screens later this year.

Samsung is preparing to host the "First Look 2021" event tomorrow, January 6th. This time, more details can be announced on laptops with OLED screens.

Samsung Display introduced OLED displays to Asus, Dell, HP, Lenovo and Razer in 2020. The company is now announcing plans to introduce 15.6-inch Full HD OLED displays.

Samsung is the market leader for small OLED screens. However, until 2019, Samsung didn't produce screens of this size for devices such as laptops and televisions.
