Bang & Olufsen's Beosound Level is built to last for decades

The Bang & Olufsen Beosound Level is the newest connected battery amplifier from the Danish brand.

The device supports voice commands via Google Assistant and Bluetooth. You can also cast to it via AirPlay 2, Chromecast, and Spotify Connect.

According to Bang & Olufsen, the Beosound Level uses a modular architecture and claims it will be used in the future. Given the headphone price of $ 1,499, this feature is very useful.

Although many stereos and amplifiers have been usable since the middle of the last century, the average life of modern integrated sound systems is much shorter.

Bang & Olufsen hopes the modular chassis used on the Beosound Level will help it last longer and make repairs easier in the event of component failure.

The Beosound Level is equipped with interchangeable transmitters that can continue to operate future corporate speakers.

The core of this unit is the Beosound level transmitter, including the speaker DSP chip, wireless technology and antenna components.

The company said there is enough processing space in the equipment that comes with the Beosound Level to allow updates to take place in the near future.

The company plans to provide an upgrade service for users who want to send in devices to the company to replace broadcast devices when the devices reach their limits.

The Beosound Level battery is also a standard configuration. Unlike radios, users can replace it with a battery specially designed for the device.

Battery life can reach 16 hours at medium sound levels and up to 4 hours at maximum volume levels.

Other features include a built-in accelerometer that allows the device to be hung vertically or horizontally or hang sound on a wall. The wall mount is $ 119.

The device turns on to greet you with the proximity sensor that can calculate the time of day to automatically adjust the brightness.

The unit contains five speakers: two for low frequency (4 ”), one for 2” (full range) and two for high frequency (0.8 ”).

The device can be charged via the USB-C port on the speaker itself or via the USB-powered magnetic mini-plug.

The degree of protection from dust and water as well as the touch control of the device is IP54 and provides wooden or textile surfaces.
