| Razer turns Project Hazel face mask into reality |
Global gaming giant Razer has announced plans to release Project Hazel's reusable N95 masks.
Previously, the coronavirus pandemic completely changed the way we live and masks were incorporated into our daily lives.
Although vaccinations are being carried out all over the world and countries hope to remove various obstacles and restrictions this year, masks could remain for a while when borders and travel begin.
In January, "Hazel Project" can be seen again, which included active hard drive fans, Chroma RGB lighting and audio projection.
The mask is also transparent so that you can easily read their lips and see their facial features when talking to people.
“This is a conceptual project, but we decided to continue to realize it and introduce smart masks,” Min Liang Tan, CEO of Razer, said in an interview with Yahoo Finance.
The Razer Smart Mask was unveiled at CES 2021 earlier this year. It has a removable and rechargeable fan and a shiny exterior made of recycled plastic that is waterproof and scratch-resistant.
Thanks to the built-in microphone, the ventilator can also be used as a loudspeaker so that the volume is not muted when speaking.
Plus, Chroma RGB lighting makes both fans glow and automatically light up your mouth, even when it's dark, so others can see you speak
Despite being a technically smart face mask, Razer insists that it's comfortable to wear thanks to the adjustable earrings.
Razer has not pledged the price or release date, and the company is required to obtain approval and certification from the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or the Occupational Health and Safety Agency, but it is not mandatory. "It will become a reality," Tan said. "We'll achieve that goal, and I think we'll be wearing masks for a long time."
