| Sony launches Airpeak S1 professional drone |
Sony fully demonstrated its Airpeak S1 drone at CES 2021 in January.
The screen contains a lot of detailed information about the functions and features of the drone, the drone and the cameras cost $9,000.
All this reinforces the idea that the goal of this aircraft is the professional video market.
The Airpeak S1 is designed to work with Sony mirrorless cameras, including the A7S Mark III, FX3, and even the Alpha 1.

With the camera on, the plane has a flight time of about 12 minutes (although it can fly up to 22 minutes without payload).

One of the main selling points is the stability and wind resistance of the drone. According to Sony, it can remain stable in winds of up to 72 kilometers per hour.

Sony has partnered with Japan's space agency JAXA to help it conduct tests on the aircraft. Airpeak can accelerate from 0 to 50 mph in 3.5 seconds.
However, it should be noted that there is no form of compulsion in this case. Sony did not reveal the speed or acceleration that the aircraft can reach while flying with the camera.
In contrast, DJI's Matrice 600 Pro costs $7,000 without a stand or camera, has a top speed of 40 mph, and a flight time of just 32 or 16 minutes.
Airpeak S1 can only be used with the built-in controller. But Sony has an app called Airpeak Flight that can help you.
The app is currently only available for iOS. But it allows control of the camera and axis.
Airpeak can be operated by one person. But it also enables a dual-play mode, where one person controls the flight and the other person controls the camera.
Sony said the console's range is still being tested.
While you don't buy or offer a camera for $9,000, the price includes two pairs of fans, a remote control, two batteries, and a charger.
Sony is expected to ship in the fall and offer a service plan to repair accidental damage.
In light of all the laws and controversy surrounding Chinese drones, Sony said the Airpeak S1 was designed and manufactured in Japan.
