Apple MacBook Pro may have a higher resolution screen

The seventh beta of macOS Monterey contains clues about the accuracy of Apple's rumored 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M1X processors.

The latest beta build of macOS Monterey, released earlier this week, includes two new entries in the Screen Resolution menu of the System Information app.

The new resolution is listed as 3456 x 2234 pixel retina and 3024 x 1964 pixel retina. These numbers do not match the screen resolutions found in any of the company's current or previous products.

Based on the same level of accuracy and their ratio to one another, these new numbers seem to apply to the upcoming MacBook Pro.

The original screen resolution of the current 16-inch MacBook Pro is 3072 x 1920 pixels. The original resolution of the current 13-inch MacBook Pro is 2560 x 1600 pixels. As a result, the pixel density of the two devices is 226 and 227 pixels per inch, respectively.

If this new resolution is suitable for future MacBook Pro models, this means that the pixel density will be reduced to around 250 pixels per inch. This means that the Retina 2x in particular could be the standard setup for these new devices. To get the clearest picture possible.

However, there are many screen resolution options available to users. Current MacBook Pro models feature a standard gradient between native screen resolution and a Retina 2x display.

Apple could launch a MacBook Pro before the end of the year

The current 16-inch MacBook Pro with a native resolution of 3072 x 1920 pixels, for example, matches a 1536 x 960-pixel display with true Retina 2x quality. But for most users, the contents of this 16-inch screen seem uncomfortable. Therefore, the standard variable resolution of devices shipped by Apple is 1792 x 1120 pixels.

With the higher pixel density of future MacBook Pro models, a true Retina 2x setup is fine for most users, as the 16-inch model can produce a resolution similar to 1728 x 1117 pixels. The 14-inch model has a resolution of 1512 x 982 pixels.

In addition to the increased screen resolution, both mobile devices are said to include MagSafe magnetic chargers for laptops. With the return of useful ports such as the SD card slot and HDMI. According to reports, the Touch Bar is also about to be phased out.

There are rumors that Apple will launch a new MacBook Pro model before the end of the year, possibly at another media event in October or November.
