Samsung adds foldable features to its older phones

As part of the One UI 3.1.1 update, Samsung's new Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 have added a number of new smart features to foldable phones. However, if you own a Fold 2, Z Flip, or even the original Galaxy Fold, you can still get new features without having to buy a new phone.

The new One UI 3.1.1 is intended to take advantage of the large screen and unique look of the device. It helps make the device easier to use.

Switch multiple windows and normal windows: With this feature, you can use up to three screen apps at the same time, all arranged according to your preferred layout. In addition, you can adjust the height and width of the application window to suit your needs.

This feature makes the transition more responsive and intuitive when you change the app layout to your preferred style.

In One UI 3.1.1, the window to be moved is displayed when the top handle is pressed. This way, you can simply drag and drop the app to your desired location.

Rotate all apps: One of the biggest advantages of the unique shape of the foldable smartphone is the detailed experience it provides to users whether they are viewing apps in portrait or landscape mode.

And use the rotate function for all new apps. Your app will seamlessly switch to the correct user experience to match the vertical or horizontal aspect ratio. After this function is activated in laboratories, stationary applications can even be rotated vertically by 90 degrees.

One UI 3.1.1 allows you to adjust the size of the application so that you are completely immersed in your photos and videos. To take full advantage of Samsung's foldable screen, simply activate this function in Labs.

Split app view: When used with Messages, this feature shows the message list on the left side of the screen and the selected conversation on the right so you can get more information at a glance. You can click the button at the top of the conversation to expand it in full screen mode.

In addition, for applications that do not have integrated support for this function. You can activate this feature by going to "Experiences".

For example, to open the shopping app function, you can view the product list on the left and product details on the right.

Flex Mode Panel: With the One UI 3.1.1 update, Flex Mode (one of Samsung's signature foldable functions) is even more powerful.

For applications that generally do not support flex mode. You can now enable this feature by opening the control panel in flex mode in the lab.

In addition, the new Flex Mode panel allows you to enjoy easier media controls while watching your favorite TV shows.

Pin your favorite apps to the system tray:

Cover screen mirroring: One UI 3.1.1 makes the transition between the cover and the home screen smoother and easier. As a result, the cover screen mirroring feature allows you to get the exact same setup and layout as your home screen. And that's across both your Home screen and Cover.
