Facebook's Meta Watch has a bump camera

According to images of the device in the tech giant's iPhone app, Meta, formerly known as Facebook, is developing a smartwatch with a front camera and a round screen.

The image shows a watch with a screen and case with slightly curved edges. The front camera appears at the bottom of the screen, similar to a smartphone. There is a button to control the watch on the right.

The image was found in the company's app and used to control the new smart glasses launched in collaboration with Ray-Ban.

This watch has a detachable strap and there appears to be a button on the top of the case.

Its large screen mimics the design of the Apple Watch, rather than the simple fitness tracker sold by Fitbit.

The camera indicates that the product will likely be used in video conferencing, and this feature highlights the Mita.

The Apple Watch has neither a camera nor competing products from companies like Samsung.

Facebook had already planned to release its first watch in 2022. The final decision on the time has yet to be made.

Facebook is developing its own connected watch

He could debut in the future. The company develops three generations of products for different release periods.

The device in the image may be a version that will not be published. But this is the first evidence that the company is working on the project.

Earlier, it was reported that Facebook was planning to launch a smartwatch and said that the device could include a heart rate monitor.

An image displayed in the Glasses app (called a Facebook view) may indicate that the watch is being managed on iPhone and Android devices that also use the app.

And the code in the app says that the watch can be called Milano. It also states that the camera can take photos and videos and upload them via mobile phones.

Smartwatches are a major new device category for Meta which currently sells virtual reality goggles and video chatting devices through the portal.

The company said it is developing a new high-end headset, codenamed Project Cambria, which combines virtual and augmented reality.

Meta also said that future smartwatches could be used as input devices or eyeglass accessories.
