Leaked images of Google's upcoming Pixel 6 give us the best glimpse into the new features of the search giant's next flagship smartphone.
Evan Blass (Evan Blass) has revealed photos revealing the lens, user interface details and camera specifications of the second generation Pixel Stand Wireless Charger, as well as a guide on biometric face unlock security.
The leak occurred less than two weeks before the official release of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro phones on October 19.
There is not a lot of unknown news in these pictures. However, it does provide a better understanding of what the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro can do.
For example, according to a leak in August, the powerful new Pixel Stand will support 23W fast charging, more than double the first-generation 10W wireless charger that Google brought out with the Pixel 3.
It was previously reported that the Wireless Pixel Stand has a built-in fan for cooling. These images show that you can switch your wireless charger between performance mode and silent mode depending on whether you prefer fast charging or silent mode.
The image also shows the wireless charging interface with shortcuts for media playback and smart home control.
Google announces its device on October 19
There's less information about the face unlock feature, which appears in a single photo via a settings page titled "Security." The company previously added Face Unlock to the Pixel 4. However, this feature is not available on the Pixel 5 series of products.
There's also an image from the back of the Pixel 6 Pro showing three cameras. Google previously confirmed that the Pixel 6 Pro has an ultra-wide angle camera around the main camera. But this photo confirms rumors that it uses 12MP, 48MP and 50MP sensors.
Other photos show the phone charger (not included) and photos of the phone spraying water on it, indicating that it has an IP rating for dust and water resistance.
The main feature that the image cannot present in more detail is the tensor processor developed for the Pixel 6. The company said that it has improved the machine learning capabilities of mobile phones.
