BMW showcases its next electric car i7

In a few weeks, BMW wants to introduce its latest electric vehicle, the BMW i7 luxury sedan. But before that, the German automaker provided teaser images, some interesting specs and confirmed that the EV has a huge network.

The grid is an integral part of the identity of the vehicle manufacturer. This shows that BMW is BMW. So it makes sense for the company to put it in its next electric car, even if the car doesn't have an under-hood motor that needs cooling.

The company says that the BMW i7's front grille has been completely reinterpreted for a modern and unique look. The grille is defined by a narrow strip of exclusive LED crystal glass that helps it stand out and attract more attention.

It should be noted that the company has recently received a lot of harsh criticism on social media for further development of the classic radiator grille.

According to the company, the BMW i7 will be the world's first fully electric luxury sedan when it is revealed in April.

The vehicle manufacturer has a range of 580 to 610 kilometers according to European WLTP standards and up to 491 kilometers according to the Federal Environment Agency.

According to WLTP, the combined energy consumption is between 19.7 and 18.9 kWh per 100 km, which is lower than the previously mentioned values.

The car features the company's 31-inch widescreen cinema screen with a 32:9 aspect ratio and 8K streaming resolution.

Technology and exclusivity in the new BMW dimension

The screen protruding from the headliner is for the rear passengers. It essentially turns the sedan into a luxury on-the-go cinema. The BMW i7 also features a panoramic Sky Lounge glass roof with LED lighting.

For the driver, a curved screen starts behind the steering wheel and extends to the instrument panel. This includes integrating the 12.3-inch instrument cluster and 14.9-inch central infotainment screen into one driving corner unit.

It contains the latest version of the iDrive driver. The curved screen appears to float above the dashboard, a feature that has become common in luxury cars.

The German company presents a range of new electric cars that are expected to hit the market in the next few years.

The company aims to dedicate 50% of its sales to electric vehicles by 2030. In addition to the X1 series, the company is also working on an all-electric version of the 5 Series.

Earlier this year, the company introduced the iX3, an all-electric version of the best-selling X3. This means all-electric versions of all the company's most famous cars.
