In March, Anthropic introduced its new AI model, Claude, which can be considered the first real competitor to the popular chatGPT program, ChatGPT.
Anthropic, an artificial intelligence company founded by former OpenAI employees, says that Cloud can help its users with a variety of tasks, including searching, summarizing, writing texts, answering questions and ... writing code.
Cloud can be accessed as a web app or by adding it to Slack. Once integrated with your Slack workspace, you can send requests directly to it. You can also include him as a team member in threads, so that others can see and interact with the responses he gives.
The cloud can help with creative writing, annotations, and more. It also remembers all messages, so you can always come back to a specific point in the conversation.
Here are some of the tasks you can ask Cloud in Slack:
- Get summaries of long Slack conversations or long web pages.
- Share a website with Claude and ask questions about the content.
- Exchange ideas with colleagues in the group. Any participant can mention Claude to ask questions and get ideas for the work.
To use a Claude bot in Slack:
To get started with the Cloud bot, you'll need your own Slack workspace or one you manage. Then follow the steps below:
- Go to Claude page in the Slack apps directory and click the Add to Slack button.
- Alternatively, open the Slack app first, then click on the Apps option in the left sidebar, then select Add an app and enter the word “Claude” in the search box. Then click the Add button and follow the onscreen instructions to add Claude to your workspace.
- No matter how you integrate Claude into your Slack app, the bot will then appear in the Apps section. To find out more, click on it and go to the About tab.
- To send a question or request, click on the "Message" tab and write your message in the "Letter to Claude" field. Then Botcloud will reply to you.
- To start a new chat, type: / reset and send it. Claude forgets the previous conversation. You can then write a message with a new subject.
- You can consider Cloud as part of your team and add him to the chat. To do this, select the channel on which you want to start a conversation, type: @Claude and write your questions, comments or requests. After you send your message, you will be notified that Claude has not been added to the channel. Click the invite button to add it. Then the bot responds to the request and you can click the response link to view it in the sidebar.
