The wait is over for European watch enthusiasts. Casio has officially confirmed the wider European release of the highly-anticipated G-Shock GM-5600BWD-1, a striking collaborative timepiece created with London's Bamford Watch Department.
Following a limited launch in the UK on December 9th, where it debuted exclusively at a London newsagent pop-up for £279, the watch is now poised to arrive in key EU markets. Casio has listed the model on its official online stores in countries including the Netherlands and Germany, with a retail price set at €279 and an expected release window still slated for December.
However, securing one won't be as simple as a routine refresh. The release will be exclusive to members of the Casio ID program. Interested buyers must have a free Casio ID account and sign up for email notifications to be alerted the moment the watch becomes available for purchase.
A Design Fusion: Iconic Durability Meets British Custom Flair
The GM-5600BWD-1 marks the third collaborative effort between G-Shock and Bamford, and it powerfully blends the former’s legendary toughness with the latter’s distinctive aesthetic. The watch presents a bold black foundation, punctuated by vibrant electric blue accents.
The case, measuring a wearable 49.6 x 43.2 x 12.9 mm, is crafted from black resin, complemented by a sleek ion-plated steel bezel. The strap continues the matte black resin theme, where the only branding is the subtle “5600” and “Bamford” text in that signature bright blue. The digital face features a dark background display, framed by a sharp blue line that makes the design pop.
