In a welcome move for retro gaming enthusiasts, Ayaneo has announced a significant acceleration of the shipping timeline for its highly anticipated Pocket Vert vertical handheld. The company, which has publicly committed to improving its customer service, is making good by getting the device into backers' hands much sooner than originally promised.
The news came via an update on the project's Indiegogo campaign page, where Ayaneo CEO Arthur Zhang shared that production has been "progressing smoothly," resulting in a substantial stockpile of units already on hand. This manufacturing efficiency has allowed the company to confidently bump up its entire fulfillment schedule.
A Crowdfunding Timeline, Streamlined
The Pocket Vert launched for pre-orders on Indiegogo in late December 2025, with its fundraising campaign initially set to run until February 4, 2026. Instead of waiting, Ayaneo has proactively closed the campaign early to expedite the next steps. According to the platform's standard rules, payment collection happens after a campaign ends, followed by a period for backers to submit shipping details—a process that could have pushed first shipments into late February.
"To reduce the delay, we successfully applied for and received approval from Indiegogo to adjust the schedule," the company stated in its latest campaign update.
This approval led to a major reshuffling of dates:
- The Indiegogo campaign ended on January 19, 2026, instead of February 4.
- The payment collection period was shortened to just 2 days.
- The window for backers to provide shipping addresses and pay fees was condensed to approximately 5 days.

The New Shipping Schedule: End of January
The result of this logistical hustle? Ayaneo confirms that the first batch of Pocket Vert units will now begin shipping by the end of January 2026, marking one of the fastest turnarounds from campaign closure to shipment in the company's history.
Shipping will be conducted in batches, organized by the device's SKU (model). Ayaneo has outlined the following fulfillment order:
- First to Ship: The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant.
- Following Shortly After: The 8GB RAM + 128GB storage model.
The company added a note of flexibility, indicating that if orders for the 12GB model are nearly complete, some 8GB units from the same production batch may begin shipping concurrently. Once all Indiegogo orders for a specific SKU are fulfilled, any remaining inventory will be allocated to customers who pre-ordered through other channels, such as the official Ayaneo website.
