| Casio’s G-Shock GG-B100X watches are available in the EU |
For adventurers and tool-watch enthusiasts who have been waiting to get their hands on the latest evolution of G-Shock toughness, the wait is finally over. Casio is rolling out its impressive Master of G GG-B100X watch collection across mainland Europe, bringing carbon-core durability and advanced sensor technology to a wider audience.
The series, which initially launched in the UK back in mid-February before making its way to the United States, is now touching down in key European markets. As of this week, three variants of the highly anticipated "Mudmaster" family are available for purchase at Casio’s official online stores in the Netherlands, France, and Germany.
Pricing and Availability in the EU
For collectors and first-time buyers alike, the lineup offers a choice between lightweight carbon construction and a more premium stainless steel aesthetic.
The flagship models featuring the carbon bezel—the stealthy GG-B100X-1A (all black) and the tactical GG-B100X-1A3 (black with khaki accents)—are priced at €399.00. These models utilize carbon fiber-reinforced resin cases, making them exceptionally lightweight yet rigid enough to handle serious abuse.
However, if you are looking for something with a little more shine, the GG-B100XM-1A offers a distinct look. It swaps the carbon bezel for a stainless steel version, adding a touch of silver contrast to the black face. This variant carries a slightly higher price tag of €419.00.
Editor’s Note: If you have your eye on the classic black model, you might want to act fast. Inventory tracking suggests that the Casio G-Shock GG-B100X-1A is nearly sold out in the EU, indicating strong demand for this rugged timepiece. You can check the current stock status for the black model here.
It is currently unclear why Casio has opted to release only these three versions of the Master of G series in the EU market for the time being, leaving the remaining two variants absent from the product roster.
Built for the Extremes
So, what makes the GG-B100X series worth the attention? As part of the prestigious "Master of G" line—a sub-collection designed for specific extreme environment professionals (like pilots, mud soldiers, and sailors)—these watches are built to withstand nature at its worst.
True to the Mudmaster legacy, these models are mud-resistant, sealing out dirt and debris, while maintaining the legendary G-Shock shock resistance. With a 200-meter water resistance, they are just as comfortable on a deep-sea fishing boat as they are on a rocky trail.
The Brains Behind the Brawn
Beyond the rugged exterior, the GG-B100X is a data hub for your wrist. It is equipped with Casio’s Quad Sensor, which packs a punch with four distinct functions:
- A Digital Compass for navigation.
- An Altimeter/Barometer for tracking elevation and weather changes.
- A Thermometer to measure ambient temperature.
- A Step Counter to monitor daily movement.
In a nod to the modern age, the watch also features Bluetooth connectivity. By pairing with the Casio Watches app, users can log mission data and view detailed records of their adventures right from their smartphone.
Function Meets Legibility
Despite the wealth of data available, readability remains a priority. The GG-B100X features a hybrid display, combining three analog hands for a traditional look with an inset digital display for precise data output. Whether you are navigating a cave at midnight or summiting before dawn, the double LED backlight ensures the display remains visible in total darkness.
Additional features include world time, sunrise/sunset data, a 1/100th second stopwatch, and a countdown timer, making it less of a watch and more of a mission control center for the wrist.
With stock depleting rapidly on the most popular model, European fans of big, bold, and functional watches may want to secure theirs before the first wave completely sells out.
