| The Xiaomi 15T Pro. |
Just six months after the global debut of the Xiaomi 15T series, Xiaomi is already gearing up for its next generation of sub-flagship smartphones. The upcoming Xiaomi 17T lineup has now surfaced on Singapore’s IMDA certification database, signaling that a global release is firmly on the horizon.
The certification, spotted on the official Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) equipment search portal, lists two new Xiaomi devices bearing the model numbers “2602DPT53G” and “2602EPTC0G.” According to previous leaks from industry insiders, these numbers correspond to the global variants of the Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro, respectively.
While the IMDA listing—accessible via the official equipment search database—does not divulge any hardware specifications or technical details, its presence is a crucial step in the regulatory approval process. It confirms that both devices are being prepared for commercial distribution in international markets, following the successful footprint of their predecessors.
Performance and Battery Take Center Stage
The Xiaomi 15T series, released globally in September 2025, made waves with its Leica-engineered camera system, which brought premium imaging to the sub-flagship tier. However, early reports suggest that Xiaomi is shifting the focus for the 17T generation.
According to supply chain leaks, the standard Xiaomi 17T is expected to be powered by MediaTek’s yet-unannounced Dimensity 8500 chipset. Meanwhile, the 17T Pro is rumored to pack the flagship Dimensity 9500 SoC. If accurate, this would represent a substantial performance leap over the Xiaomi 15T Pro, which currently utilizes the Dimensity 9400+ platform (the 15T Pro is currently available for $819.50 on Amazon).
Beyond raw processing power, battery life appears to be a primary focus. Reports indicate that the standard Xiaomi 17T might house a massive 6,500mAh battery, supported by 67W fast charging—a significant capacity upgrade aimed at addressing user demands for longer endurance.
Earlier Launch Expected
One of the more intriguing details emerging from the certification is the timeline. The Xiaomi 15T series was unveiled in September 2025. However, with the 17T series already appearing in regulatory databases early in the year, industry analysts speculate that Xiaomi may move up the launch schedule for its next-generation T-series devices.
As of now, Xiaomi has not issued any official statements regarding the announcement dates or final specifications of the 17T lineup. However, given that the devices have cleared the IMDA hurdle—a typical final step before market availability—an official unveiling could be just a few months away.
For consumers looking to verify the listings themselves, the full certification details can be viewed directly through the official IMDA database.
*Note: For reference, the previous generation Xiaomi 15T Pro remains available for purchase on major e-commerce platforms.*
