Anker’s eufy brand has added a new outdoor security camera to its lineup: the eufy SoloCam E50. It’s a solar-powered model that pairs two 4K lenses with a motorised pan-and-tilt head, and it’s priced at $229.99. The camera is available for pre-order on eufy’s website, with shipping expected by the end of October 2026.
The SoloCam E50 is part of the eufy Edge 5.0 Yard Protection System, a five-device family that also includes the TrackLight Cam S1, Video Doorbell S4, eufyCam E52 and Window Camera E10. All five devices can connect to eufy’s HomeBase S380 hub. Frank Zhu, General Manager at Anker eufy, said the lineup is designed to reassure homeowners that “every corner of their property is protected, from indoors to the outdoors.”
For buyers who want more coverage, eufy also lists a two-camera kit at $449.99 and a four-camera bundle with the HomeBase S380 at $999.99.
Dual 4K lenses and 360-degree coverage
The E50’s two lenses divide the work. One provides a 135-degree wide view of the yard, while the telephoto lens is meant for close-up detail. According to eufy, the camera’s 12x hybrid zoom can pick out a face or a number plate from about 12 metres, or roughly 40 feet. The head pans through 348 degrees and tilts through 70 degrees, which eufy markets as 360-degree coverage.
There is one limitation to keep in mind. When the app displays both feeds side by side, the maximum resolution drops to 2K. Full 4K viewing and downloads require single-view mode.

AI tracking, radar and smarter alerts
The camera uses eufy OmniTrack, its AI tracking system, to recognise people and vehicles and turn the head to follow them. Auto-framing tightens the zoom on a single person and pulls back when more people enter the scene. Pet detection is not included.
Anker says the E50 combines millimetre-wave radar with a passive infrared sensor. eufy claims the radar can register a person standing still while ignoring common false-alert triggers such as shadows, sun glare and moving branches. The radar covers a 120-degree field out to about 12 metres. Once activity is detected, the camera can switch on a spotlight, a red and blue strobe and a siren. At night, it records in infrared or in color when the spotlight is on.
Battery, solar charging and connectivity
A 10,000mAh battery powers the SoloCam E50, while a 5W SolarPlus 2.0 panel with MPPT charging helps keep it topped up. Owners can leave the panel attached to the camera or mount it separately on a wall or eave to catch more sun. The camera connects over 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi, with eufy quoting a range of 200 metres in open areas, and it carries an IP65 weather rating.
Storage, smart home support and missing features
Recordings are saved to a microSD card of up to 512GB, which is sold separately. eufy charges no monthly fee for core features. Pairing the camera with the HomeBase S380 adds expandable hard drive storage, facial recognition, cross-camera tracking and security reports.
The E50 works with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, but not Apple HomeKit. It also does not support 24/7 continuous recording.
