It’s been barely a month since PeakDo released its latest power bank for the Starlink Mini, but the company is already back with a tantalizing new tease. This time, the focus isn't just on capacity—it's on a major leap in battery technology.
According to a recently shared teaser video, PeakDo is gearing up to launch a new battery pack for the Starlink Mini that features a 99.9Wh battery capacity. If that number sounds familiar, it’s because it matches the capacity of the company's existing lineup, including the popular LinkPower 1, the LinkPower 2 (which you can grab on Amazon for $229), the LinkPower 3, and the cylindrical LinkPower Pod 1.
However, the real story here isn't the capacity—it's what's inside. Unlike its predecessors, this new power bank will utilize a semi-solid-state battery, a technology that offers several distinct advantages over traditional lithium-ion batteries.
Why Semi-Solid-State Matters
For starters, semi-solid-state batteries boast a higher energy density. In plain English, this means they can store more power without requiring as much physical space. This higher density also translates to a lighter and more compact form factor when compared to a standard lithium-ion battery of equal capacity.
