Kuro Games has pulled back the curtain on Wuthering Waves Version 3.7, and it's shaping up to be one of the most substantial updates the game has seen yet. Titled "Prism's Illusion, Heart's Illumination," this major patch is set to go live globally on September 30, 2026, following the usual server maintenance period. For players who have been following the Xuanfang storyline since its inception, this update marks the long-awaited conclusion to that narrative arc – and it's bringing plenty of new content along for the ride.
The Story Reaches Its Climax
The centerpiece of Version 3.7 is the finale of the Xuanfang saga, delivered through Main Quest Chapter IV Act IV, titled "Simulacrum of the Heart." Without venturing into spoiler territory, this chapter promises to deliver the emotional payoff that longtime players have been waiting for. Once the main quest wraps up, a new Tales Quest called "Moonlike Heart, Mortal Longing" becomes available, offering additional character development and world-building for those who want to dig deeper into the story.
Exploration enthusiasts also have something to celebrate. The update introduces an entirely new area known as the Simulacrum Nexus of Mengzhou. This sprawling region consists of several interconnected zones, including the mysterious Heartscape Labyrinth and four distinct elemental "Heart" regions. Each area appears designed to challenge players in different ways while rewarding thorough exploration.

Two New Five-Star Resonators Join the Roster
Version 3.7 introduces two brand-new playable five-star Resonators, each arriving in separate phases of the update cycle. Phase 1 brings Hsin to the forefront – a significant addition as Mengzhou's first playable Sentinel. She wields Electro abilities through a Rectifier, and her signature weapon, Blooming Jadehaven, will be available through its own Featured Weapon Convene for players looking to maximize her potential.
Phase 2 shifts focus to Suoming, an Electro Sword user who offers a different playstyle for those who prefer close-quarters combat. Like Hsin, Suoming comes with her own signature weapon, Unspoken Rue, ensuring that dedicated players can build her to peak performance.
Quality-of-Life Improvements That Players Have Requested
Beyond new characters and story content, Version 3.7 delivers a suite of quality-of-life upgrades that address some of the community's most persistent requests. The new Replay Mode allows players to revisit the Main Quests from Versions 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3, with saved progress carrying over – perfect for anyone who wants to experience those early storylines again or catch up on content they may have missed.
Echo management, a recurring pain point for many players, is receiving meaningful improvements. Eligible unequipped and non-upgraded Echoes will now stack automatically when they share the same type, Sonata Effect, and main stat. Additionally, each backpack slot can now hold up to 999 Echoes, dramatically reducing inventory headaches.
Team management is also getting a visual upgrade with a new 3D display mode for lineups. Players can toggle between traditional 2D presentations and the new 3D view, though Kuro Games notes that 3D mode may not be supported on every device.
The in-game camera system has been optimized as well, with reports pointing to new handheld and selfie modes, plus a more flexible drone-style tripod perspective. Composition tools and environmental controls for time, weather, and foliage wind direction give players more creative freedom than ever before.
Events, Echoes, and More
A new permanent event called Blooms for the Shadow arrives with the update, alongside five new Echoes, a fresh Tacet Discord Nest, and three new Sonata Effect sets. Limited-time events include the Cubie Wars leisure event, the Artisan's Search combat event, and the Solaris Starry Stage program celebrating fan creations.
Kuro Games is also beginning a limited test of Tiered Client Resource Downloads across PC, iOS, and Android. Eligible players will be able to choose between UHD, HD, or SD asset packages, balancing download size against visual quality. Those not selected for the test will default to the HD package.
