| The Motorola Signature 27. |
The upcoming flagship scores impressive numbers ahead of its November 5 launch, but the real story is what's under the hood.
Motorola's next premium flagship is almost here, and early benchmark results suggest the company isn't holding back. The Motorola Signature 27 has just made its debut on Geekbench 7.1, giving us our first real look at how the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset performs in a production device.
A Geekbench Debut Worth Talking About
The benchmark listing, which you can verify directly via the Geekbench Browser, reveals a device that's clearly built for performance. The Signature 27 posted a single-core score of 3,313 points and a multi-core score of 11,088 points—numbers that put it firmly in flagship territory.
What's particularly interesting is the CPU configuration. The octa-core setup is divided into three clusters: three cores running at 3.74GHz, three at 4.03GHz, and two performance cores clocked at an impressive 5.01GHz. That's a significant leap from the previous generation's 3.8GHz peak.
The listing also confirms the device will ship with Android 17 and features 10.94GB of listed memory, which points to a 12GB RAM configuration.
The Chipset Behind the Numbers
At the heart of the Signature 27 is Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, built on a cutting-edge 2nm process. This represents a meaningful generational leap from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 found in the current Motorola Signature, which uses a 3nm manufacturing process.
The smaller process node should translate to better power efficiency alongside the raw performance gains—something that matters greatly for a device packing a 165Hz display.
What Else We Know About the Signature 27
Beyond the benchmark numbers, Motorola has already confirmed several headline features for its upcoming flagship:
- 165Hz display – A refresh rate that should make scrolling and gaming feel exceptionally smooth
- 200MP periscope telephoto camera – A serious upgrade for zoom photography
- Bang & Olufsen sound system – Continuing Motorola's partnership with the premium audio brand
The device is set to launch on November 5, 2026, succeeding the Motorola Signature that arrived in January this year.
Should You Wait or Buy Now?
If you're in the market for a Motorola flagship right now, the current-generation Signature remains a compelling option. The Motorola Signature Dual-SIM (512GB/16GB RAM) in Pantone Martini Olive is currently available for $1,049 on Amazon, featuring a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED display, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, and a versatile triple 50MP camera system that includes a periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
However, if peak performance and the latest silicon matter to you, waiting for the Signature 27's November 5 launch might be the smarter move. The Geekbench results suggest a substantial performance uplift, and that 200MP periscope camera sounds like it could be a game-changer for mobile photography enthusiasts.
