The New Casio Mudman GDG-B100 Hits UK Stores: MIP Display, Bluetooth, and a Price Tag to Match

The Casio Mudman GDG-B100 series come with red backlights.

If you’ve been holding your breath for the next generation of G-Shock toughness, it’s time to exhale. Casio has officially listed the new GDG-B100 Mudman on its UK web store, and it looks like the rumors were spot on. Following its debut in Japan just days ago, the UK landing page is now live, giving us our first proper look at the pricing and availability for the European market.

UK Pricing and Availability

The new Mudman is arriving in three distinct colorways, all priced at £200 (roughly $265) . If you’re looking to add one to your collection, here are the specific models to keep an eye on:

  • GDG-B100-1: The classic stealthy black.
  • GDG-B100-1A3: A tactical dark green.
  • GDG-B100-1A5: A rugged sand/tan finish.

Before you rush to get your credit card out, note that none of these are buyable yet. The product pages currently feature an "Available soon – sign up now" button, meaning Casio is collecting email addresses for notifications rather than taking orders. All three pages are tagged with "New 10/2026," which is Casio’s internal flag for a current-month release. The Specs: A New Kind of Mudman

So, what makes the GDG-B100 tick? This is the first Mudman to feature a Memory-in-Pixel (MIP) display, a feature that offers superior contrast and readability compared to traditional LCDs. The module (3587) is housed in a Carbon Core Guard case made from bio-based resin, measuring 63.6 x 49.6 x 16.2 mm and weighing in at a solid 66 grams.

It retains the core DNA of the Mudman line with 200-meter water resistance and mud- and dust-sealed buttons. The red LED backlight is a nice touch, which Casio claims helps preserve your eye's natural adaptation to the dark—perfect for early morning runs or late-night tactical ops.

On the tech side, Bluetooth connectivity handles time sync, phone notifications, and a phone finder via the Casio Watches app. Additionally, an accelerometer tracks your steps and logs distance, speed, pace, and calories across up to 100 runs.

The Trade-Off: No Solar, No Sensors?

Here is where the GDG-B100 diverges from the path set by its predecessor. The 2023 GW-9500 Mudman was a beast, featuring a triple sensor (compass, altimeter, barometer, thermometer) and Tough Solar charging.

The new GDG-B100 drops the triple sensor entirely and runs on a standard CR2032 cell, which Casio says is good for about two years. This effectively creates a second branch of the Mudman family tree. While it loses the environmental sensors, it undercuts the GW-9500's hefty $420 launch price by a significant margin.

The Verdict on Price

At $265, the UK price looks a little steep next to Japan’s ¥38,500, but once you strip out the sales tax, the numbers are nearly identical (£166.67 vs ¥35,000). This also falls right inside the $250–$270 window that leaked earlier this year. US pricing has not been announced yet, but we expect it to land somewhere in that $250 range.
