Nacon has officially delayed Edge of Memories, pushing the highly anticipated action RPG from its original November 5 release date to December 3, 2026. The publisher announced the decision on October 15, stating that the new date falls during a quieter period, allowing players to discover the game at their own pace and fully appreciate the experience.

The game will still launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Updated Steam Demo Coming in Early November

Despite the delay, fans won't have to wait entirely empty-handed. Nacon confirmed that an updated demo will arrive on Steam in early November 2026, though an exact date hasn't been specified. The demo will cover the opening hours of the adventure and incorporates community feedback gathered since the initial reveal.

According to Nacon, combat now feels more dynamic and intense, with the updated build including gameplay and accessibility improvements. The publisher expressed confidence that Edge of Memories is ready for launch, noting that the extra month provides room for further quality-of-life tweaks.

Pre-Orders Transfer Automatically

For those who have already secured their copy, digital pre-orders will automatically transfer to the new December 3 date across all platforms without requiring any action from buyers. Physical orders placed through the official Nacon Gaming website will arrive on December 3 as well.

Nacon advises customers who ordered through third-party retailers to check directly with those stores regarding delivery timelines.

Midgar Studio Closure Casts Shadow Before Launch

The delay comes amid challenging circumstances for the development team. Midgar Studio, the French developer behind Edge of Eternity, closed in July 2026 during Nacon's financial restructuring. Despite the closure, Nacon remains committed to publishing Edge of Memories.

The official Edge of Memories social media account confirmed in August that the creative work is complete, with a specialist team handling the final PC and console versions.

A World Ravaged by the Corrosion

Edge of Memories is a third-person action RPG built on Unreal Engine 5, set on the continent of Avaris. Players step into the role of Eline, a young Soul Whisperer who travels the land healing those affected by a devastating plague known as the Corrosion.

The narrative follows Eline as she battles the force corrupting the once-thriving fauna, flora, and people of Avaris. Following a mysterious encounter, a dark power awakens within her—the ability to control the Corrosion from within her own body. Joined by Ysoris, her unlikely mentor, and Kanta, a shaman prince of a lost tribe, Eline must overcome formidable adversaries to save a world on the brink of extinction.

Star-Studded Musical Talent

The game's soundtrack features contributions from notable industry veterans. Cédric Menendez composed the score, with vocals from Emi Evans, known for her work on NieR: Automata. Additionally, Yasunori Mitsuda, celebrated for his compositions on Chrono Trigger and Xenoblade Chronicles, wrote the final theme.
