Huawei recently started developing alternative apps and services for Google apps to support its smartphones. Today, the Huawei HMS platform contains 45,000 applications, while the Google GMS platform contains 3 million applications.
Huawei has launched a number of unique smartphone versions with new designs and specifications this year. However, the lack of Google services and applications has greatly affected the popularity of Huawei phones in the global market.
Huawei AOSP phones can be used for Android systems. However, Google offers applications and services that are not available on the open source Android system, including Gmail, YouTube, Google Drive, Chrome and Google Maps. Although Huawei holds temporary licenses, these permissions do not extend to Google GMS services.
Huawei recently started developing its own HongMeng OS, which is already available on smart TVs. However, the company’s operating system definitely needs a number of apps to replace Google apps.

Huawei HMS services currently include Huawei account services, in-app payments and message notifications. Huawei started shipping beta versions to the Chinese market on December 23, but only if the initial experience includes Huawei's mobile app services and HMSCoreTest.
This release fixes and improves some HMS-related issues and improves platform performance. In addition, Huawei account services, integrated payments, message and wallet notifications are supported stably and extremely effectively.
Huawei HMS platform currently includes 45,000 apps that use the core of HMS. The Huawei team has a million developers around the world. The company plans to allocate one billion dollars to develop the HMS platform.
