SpaceX plans to send four tourists to space

SpaceX plans to partner with Space Adventures to send up to four regular citizens from Florida (Cape Canaveral) Port to space for five days by late 2021 or early 2022.

SpaceX has announced an agreement with Space Adventures for Space Tourism that has helped seven different citizens fly to and from the International Space Station with Russian Soyuz missiles and spacecraft.

Space Adventure didn't explain any other details of the mission, such as the type of setup visitors would have to go through, but said the mission would allow four people to see the planet in a way never seen before in the program, Project Gemini in the 1960s.

"This historic mission is a way to make space travel accessible to all in your dreams. Work with the space adventure team," said Gwen Shotwell, CEO and Director of Operations at SpaceX.

SpaceX and Space Adventures stated that tourists will fly the human version of the Space Dragon, and will fly about 408 km from Earth at an altitude of two to three times the height of the International Space Station.

As part of a contract with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), SpaceX has built and tested this new version of the "Dragon" spacecraft, which has been used to carry cargo for many years. Another option is to transfer to the train station.

SpaceX previously conducted the second major test of the Crew Dragon flight, which showed that the capsule was able to escape from the UXO.

A few years ago, CEO of SpaceX (Elon Musk) was enthusiastic about the idea of space tourism as a company and was optimistic when this happened.

SpaceX is said to have signed an agreement with Bigelow Aerospace last year to transport people to the International Space Station for about $ 52 million per person. Bigelu Aerospace later withdrew from the agreement.
