5 new features in iOS 13.4 and iPadOS 13.4

Apple yesterday released new updates for iPhone, iPad (iOS 13.4), iPadOS 13.4, and iOS 12.4.6 for older iPhones and iPads.

This update applies to all iPhone iOS 13 devices, including: iPhone 6S and all other models, and iPod Touch 7th generation.

For iPadOS 13.4, it works on all iPads running iPadOS 13, including: iPad Air 2 and later versions, iPad 5th generation and later versions, iPad mini 4 and later versions, and all versions of iPad Pro.

Here are the top 5 new features for iOS 13.4 and iPadOS 13.4:

1- Combining iOS and Mac:
Previously, iPhone and iPad app stores were completely separate from Mac App Store and tvOS Store because you cannot use them on other devices with apps purchased in store.

Starting with iOS 13.4 and iPad OS 13.4, app developers can use Apple to create global purchase packages so that users on all Apple devices pay only once for the same app.

2- iPad trackpad supports:
The main function of iPadOS 13.4 is to support the trackpad, which allows the use of Bluetooth and USB devices, including (Magic Trackpad), (Magic Mouse) and (Logitech MX Master) in addition to compatible iPad devices as shown in the picture shown. Apple announced a new iPad last week.

This way, you can now move around with the mouse pointer on the iPad, letting you perform more precise tasks, such as: for example: text selection is much easier than before and iPad Pro also includes the optional Magic Keyboard with trackpad to support this new functionality.

3- Share folders in iCloud:
IPadOS 13.4 and iOS 13.4 (iPhone and iPad devices, as well as MacOS in the File app) allow sharing with other users immediately after activating the iCloud folder in Settings.

You can invite specific users, create shared URLs, and allow or reject file changes in folders.

4- CarPlay supports external navigation applications:
If you are driving but are not using Apple Maps, you may have noticed that you cannot use the Maps application of your choice if you connect your iPhone to your car through the CarPlay platform.

But with the new OS update, you just need to connect your phone to your car to use the Maps app you need: Google Maps, Waze, Citymapper or other apps.

5- New Memoji stickers:
Apple added nine new stickers for iOS 13.4 and iPadOS 13.4 as well as personal Memoji stickers, for example: smiling faces with hearts, compact hands, and party faces.
