Facebook offers tools to transfer photos to Google Photos in more countries

On Thursday, Facebook announced the availability of its gadget, which allows users to transfer their photos and videos to Google Photos in more countries.

The tool, now available to US and Canadian users, can be accessed by accessing Facebook settings and then clicking the Facebook Information tab, which can be used to transfer photos and videos. Users must link their Facebook account to their Google Account before they can transfer the content.

As part of the data transfer project, Facebook first launched its multimedia transmission tool in early December and plans to launch it in additional countries in early 2020.

Since March of last year, Facebook has launched the tool in many countries around the world (especially in Africa, the Asia Pacific region, and Latin America). Facebook said, "Other countries will receive the tool in the next two months." After the global launch of the tool later this year, users can transfer photos to other companies listed under (data transfer project).

It should be noted that (Data Transfer Project) is a data exchange program that was launched in 2018 to facilitate the users to transfer their data easily between different services via the Internet. Several companies are working on the project to shape “future scalability”, including Apple, Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Twitter.
