Facebook starts WhatsApp payment service in Brazil

After a successful test in India in the past two years, Facebook today announced the launch of a digital payment service for WhatsApp users.

“With this service, users can send money and shop safely in local businesses without leaving the chat room,” said blogging social media giant blogger.

Facebook added that with more than 10 million small and micro companies becoming the leading Brazilian company, customers can now pay directly to WhatsApp in addition to the product display feature in the business index.

The service can also send money to your loved ones as easily as sending a message. Since WhatsApp uses the payment platform on Facebook, the company intends to allow users and companies to use the same card information via different Facebook applications in the future.

With Facebook, users must enter a 6-digit PIN or fingerprint to complete the payment process taking into account new data protection and security functions.

Facebook has warned that ordinary users can pay money and shop for free on WhatsApp, but for the company, Facebook will deduct this amount to make the payment. The company added that it hopes to create jobs for users around the world.
