Microsoft's Surface Duo will arrive on September 10

Microsoft's first dual-screen Android device came our way when the company reposted the Surface Duo on its blog, announcing that it would be available on September 10.

This means that the device (Surface Duo) could be introduced to the Samsung market before Samsung (Galaxy Z Fold 2). Samsung does not currently have a release date as the Korean giant has confirmed that it will ship its first orders from September 1.

Similar to Samsung's high-end foldable devices, the Surface Duo costs $ 1,399. That's more expensive than many flagship phones, including the new Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, which costs $ 1,299. .

With Android convertible, Microsoft's device costs about $ 600 less than the original Samsung Galaxy Fold and about $ 100 less than the new Motorola Razr.

Samsung foldable phones (Galaxy Z Flip) are about $ 100 cheaper than Microsoft's devices. Compared to the devices (Surface Duo), however, the Galaxy Z Flip is a small device for mobile phone enthusiasts.

Microsoft's first Android phone has two independent 5.6-inch OLED screens with a resolution of 1800 x 1350 pixels and a 4: 3 aspect ratio.

The two displays are connected by a 360-degree hinge to form a larger 8.1-inch PixelSense-Fusion display with a resolution of 2700 x 1800 pixels and an aspect ratio of 3: 2.

Unlike foldable devices like the Samsung Galaxy Fold, Surface Duo uses real Gorilla Glass, and the screen is designed just like the multiple displays on a Windows PC.

The foldable device has a thickness of 4.8 mm, which Microsoft says will be the thinnest handheld device on the market, although the folded thickness is around 9.6 mm.

Microsoft uses an 11-megapixel camera that includes automatic low-light mode, supports 4K and 1080p video recording at 30 frames per second and 60 frames per second, and has an electronic image stabilization feature.

There is only one camera in (Surface Duo) that can be used for video calls and that is the main camera.

The device can be used with Qualcomm (Snapdragon 855) processor and has 6GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage capacity.

Microsoft integrates two separate (Surface Duo) batteries under the two displays and has a general capacity of 3577 mAh.

Microsoft promises a full day of autonomy, meaning up to 15.5 hours of video playback, up to 10 days in standby and up to 27 hours of talk time.

This device marked Microsoft's first entry into Android devices. The company is optimistic about using the platform (Windows Phone) in conjunction with Nokia devices and a successor platform. (Windows 10 Mobile) template.

Both systems represent commercial failure, forcing Microsoft to abandon the market and rethink its strategy.

Many people see Duo as the spiritual successor to the Microsoft Secret Courier concept, which was confirmed and killed in 2010.

This new Android device was first launched last October with a foldable computer (Surface Neo) running Windows 10X. This is a new version of the PC OS, but it is designed for devices that have two screens.
