Xiaomi launched a new phone called “Poco M2” in India through a virtual event.
The POCO brand has grown rapidly in India and around the world, and its growth rate has exceeded consumer expectations.
After launching (POCO F1), the company continued to deploy smartphones via (POCO X2), then (POCO F2 Pro), then (POCO M2 Pro) and (POCO X3 NFC).
As the name suggests, this phone is an improved version of the Poco M2 Pro, which was introduced in July as a slightly modified version of the Redmi Note 9 Pro.
(Poco M2) The phone is characterized by various price specifications such as an eight-core processor, four rear cameras, and a large battery.
Various configurations are offered in terms of RAM and storage as well as three color options.
If the new phone looks familiar, it is true, because it is a name change to the phone (Redmi 9 Prime) and even a global brand name change of the phone (Redmi 9).
The phone is running Android 10 with MIUI and will have it soon (MIUI 12).
The device uses a 6.53 inch screen with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
There is a MediaTek Helio G80 processor paired with the Mali G52 GPU and 6GB LPDDR4x RAM, which can provide up to 128GB of expandable storage space via a microSD card.
In terms of photography, (Poco M2) has a quad rear camera with a 13-megapixel main lens, an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 5-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth lens.
There is an 8MP front camera for taking pictures and video calls, and the front camera sensor is in good condition.
Connectivity options include dual-band wireless networking, dual VoLTE support, 4G, Bluetooth, GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C port.
The company provided a 5000 mAh battery for the phone that supports 18-watt fast charging and is equipped with a (P2i) layer to prevent water splashing.
The Poco M2 is available in two configurations: 6 + 64GB for $ 149 and 6 + 128GB for $ 170.
The phone will be available in three colors: dark black, slate blue, and brick red, and will go on sale on September 15th.
