The US networks do not support the promised 5G speeds

Apple is preparing to launch a new line of iPhones that will support the fifth generation (5G) network. This is a ray of hope for the US Network and it shows that for most people the promised explosive speed will not come true.

The device is dubbed the iPhone 12 by analysts and can use 5G (5th generation) technology, which is theoretically 20 times faster than current wireless (4G) networks.

The current 5G network in the United States uses low-band radio spectrum that is slower than high-band but is more reliable over long distances.

The promise of fast operators has become a reality, making augmented reality and real-time cloud games seamless, which could take many years.

Several telecom providers in the United States have deployed 4G (slightly higher speed) networks based on lower spectrum bands.

The middle class has also launched a faster version of the fifth generation, but it will not reach three-quarters of Americans by 2025.

The rapid development that operators are promoting is a 5G network called millimeter wave (mmWave) that can operate over a short distance.

Verizon has the largest network in existence, mmWave, and it is only available in certain regions.

Compared to Verizon and Tprint, Verizon 5G users can achieve speeds ten times faster, but the actual average speed is much lower.

Verizon and AT&T customers with 5G phones saw a moderate increase in 4G speed.

The fastest 5G networks are in South Korea and China, with Apple competing with domestic brands such as Samsung in South Korea and Huawei in China.

Using faster apps doesn't seem to offer any new features. Executives said interest in 4G networks is being driven by Facebook and YouTube mobile apps.

It seems that the applications that take advantage of the 5G network can only be developed after the network and the equipment are available.

American consumers who are looking to buy mobile phones that support the 5G network are consumers who currently need new smartphones.

"If you want to buy a three-year-old cell phone, you need to make sure it supports the latest network," said Jeff Blapper, vice president of research at CCS Insight.

Blapper added: (iPhone 5G) can do relatively little, but today (iPhone 4G) it cannot.
