Google Images wants you to improve machine learning

Google has updated the Google Photos app for Android and added a new option that allows users to notify the search giant about its content.

By classifying these images, Google can improve its object recognition algorithm to make Google images more useful.

One of the best things about Google Photos is understanding things, people, and pets.

The company is now inviting Android users to help them improve machine learning technology with new tools in Google Photos.

The giants and users of big data technology are taking this approach to developing artificial intelligence because machine learning systems cannot learn on their own.

The vast majority of these apps must use human-disaggregated data for learning. For this reason, CAPTCHA requires cars and motorcycles to be identified with pictures.

By identifying these creatures, you are training the AI to do the same.

This feature appears in the latest version of the Google Photos app. All you have to do is hit the "Search" button in the app's menu and scroll down to find an option titled "Help Google Photos improve".

After clicking on the option, four tasks will appear that Google would like to better understand the important parts of the image:

  • Do you know your photos: We want to know what's important to you.
  • Print Settings: Help us understand what you want to print.
  • Vacation photos: Help us find photos that show a specific holiday or event.
  • Design for you: Help us make better collages and animations.

Google explained on the help page for the feature: It may take some time to see the impact of your donation on the account. However, your contribution will help improve the existing features and introduce new features and improvements. Information about printing jobs offers suggestions.

You can delete the answer at any time by clicking on the three dots menu in the upper right corner of the screen and then clicking on the option "Delete my answer". It appears that it cannot be updated. Tick only via Android instead of iOS.

This process is backed by Google Crowdsource, a crowdsourcing platform that Google launched in 2016.

The platform collects data; This allows users to earn points by performing the following tasks: reviewing landmarks, viewing snippets, taking handwritten notes, and other similar functions.
