Vivo announces major design changes to OriginOS

Vivo announced a new Android-based user interface called OriginOS at its annual China Developers Conference.

The new OriginOS user interface follows the old FuntouchOS user interface.

The new user interface focuses on the redesigned system of small tools, improved gestures, memory expansion, and visual improvements.

The new user interface has a complete design overhaul that allows user interface elements to be prioritized and placed in the network layout.

These tools can use notifications called nano alerts to update themselves so that app notifications can be seen in their widgets.

Vivo said in a statement, that the OriginOS UI is based on three limitations based on the needs of smartphone users: design, fashion and comfort.

She added: The new UI uses familiar features with an exciting new design. It provides the ultimate smartphone experience.

Among all the Android user interfaces, Vivo FuntouchOS is the most cloned user interface on iOS, with a similar design, color scheme and transparency for notification systems.

OriginOS 'approach to miniaturization is not far behind an Apple product that launched on iOS 14 this year.

According to Vivo, the small tools are inspired by Klotski's Chinese version of Huarong Dao puzzle.

Although the size of many widgets does not match, you can easily rearrange the home screen.

The company also claims that the new UI will reduce resource consumption and use less RAM compared to the old FuntouchOS.

Vivo introduces Multi-Turbo 5.0 technology, which focuses on optimizing memory by integrating memory with internal storage so that 12GB of storage can be used as 15GB of storage space.

Vivo said: There are 26 groups of gestures at the bottom of the screen, starting with a single click, and the SuperCard can be accessed from anywhere, even when the screen is turned off to make quick and comfortable payments via mobile devices.

Vivo has not published any news on the release date, but has shown a UI model that works on the current flagship X50 phone.
