Microsoft is expanding its team collaboration platform with new communication functions. According to the company, some of these new features are now available and more features will be rolled out starting in 2021.
Microsoft provides calling features such as dial pad, call history, voicemail, contacts, and settings in one place to facilitate communication.
Team admins can set OneDrive or SharePoint as the default location for the recordings instead of Microsoft Stream, making it easy to share these recordings and associated text with external participants.
The platform can identify unnecessary calls and have CarPlay support so that users can use non-Siri built-in commands to lead teams in the vehicle.
PSTN and VoIP calls are now available for call integration. Officials say the ability to route calls between cell phones and desktop computers will begin in early 2021.
