| Asus announces dual-screen hardware ZenBook |
As part of the CES 2021 announcement, Asus announced two ZenBook Duo laptops with 15-inch and 14-inch screens.
There's also a new VivoBook and a new ExpertBook suitable for those looking to purchase lightweight, portable products.
The ZenBook Duo laptop has a primary display and a secondary screen called ScreenPad Plus built into the top of the keyboard.
The 15.6-inch OLED ZenBook Pro Duo 15 is an update to the ZenBook Pro Duo 15 with two displays. ZenBook Pro Duo 15 is a 15.6-inch dual-screen laptop with a primary OLED screen.
There's also a 14-inch model that complements the regular ZenBook Duo introduced last year.
The ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED is equipped with a 10th generation Intel processor (up to Core i9) and the latest Nvidia Mobile GeForce RTX 3070 GPU.
ZenBook Duo 14 features an 11th generation Intel processor (Core i7 or Core i5) with integrated Iris Xe graphics. You can also add Nvidia GeForce MX450 GPU.
Both have a new design that allows ScreenPad Plus to be tilted extra instead of lying flat on the keyboard surface.
This means you don't have to lift your neck at the keyboard to read the secondary screen, which is inconvenient on previous Duo models.
Asus said there's a new hinge design with a fan size that's 30% smaller.
Asus has also added new apps to ScreenPad (now called Screen Xpert 2) that make multitasking easier.
With the new "Move window" function, you can easily move windows from one view to another.
There's also the new VivoBook S14, which Asus says is the lightest 14-inch VivoBook ever and weighs just 1.3kg.
VivoBook S14 has also been upgraded to an 11th generation processor with integrated Xe graphics. According to Asus, you can use the battery for up to 17 hours.
There's also the regular VivoBook 14 powered by the new AMD Ryzen 5000 U series processor.
Asus has made some updates to its ExpertBook lineup, including ExpertBook B9. The full name of the new model is ExpertBook B9 B9450CEA.
Asus said it is the world's lightest 14-inch business laptop, weighing just 0.8kg and featuring the latest 11th generation Intel® vPro ™ processor that provides many security and remote management features, including Intel® Active Management Technology.
ExpertBook includes several new features to facilitate conference calling, including bi-directional AI noise cancellation technology, Harman Kardon certified speakers, and Wi-Fi 6 support.
