ASUS launches fanless Chromebox

ASUS announces a new fanless product in the Chromebox series as the latest ASUS Chrome OS hardware with 10th generation Intel processors is designed to deliver outstanding performance.

The built-in Google Play Store can provide a variety of productivity apps. As a result, more and more companies and employees rely on cloud-based applications to make the work easier.

Like previous Asus models, a fanless Chromebook can be mounted on the back of a monitor or desktop to save space in size-dependent work environments. .

The new Chromebox measures 8.15 x 5.82 x 1.26 inches, which makes the aluminum frame both compact and oblong.

However, the real beauty of the wireless router lies in the wave design on top of the box and the adjustable antenna device at the back.

Chromebox contains 10th Generation Intel Core or Celeron processors. You can choose from Intel Core i7-10510U, Intel Core i5-10210U, Intel Core i3-10110U, or Celeron 5205U processors.

It also offers up to 16GB of RAM and up to 256GB of SSD storage space.

Chromebox offers different connections based on configuration. The main difference between Celeron and Core models is the number and type of USB ports.

Celeron has two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.2 port, and one USB-C port, while the Core model has 3 USB 3.1 ports and one USB-C port.

All configurations have two HDMI 2.0 ports to connect the monitor and a microSD card slot to add more storage capacity.

Asus said: Chromebox specifications and fanless design should allow up to three 4K displays to run while Chrome OS and Android apps are running on the Google Play Store.

Fanless Chromebooks starting at $ 400 provide a stable Chrome OS desktop experience. Don't buy a wireless router by mistake.

ASUS Fanless Chromebox will be available in the US in February 2021.
