Xiaomi has announced the launch of Mi Air Charge technology, a wireless charging system that the company claims can charge devices from several meters away.

Remote charging technology currently provides 5W remote charging of a single device within a radius of several meters.

In addition, multiple devices can be charged simultaneously (each device supports 5W), and physical obstructions do not affect charging efficiency.

Xiaomi said: The technology can also be used with smart watches and fitness equipment to convert a living room into a wireless network. Speakers, lights, and smart home appliances can all operate on the same remote system.

Mi Air Charge technology has fundamentally changed the current wireless charging method so that users can charge electronic devices remotely without wireless charging cables or charging pads.

The company has confirmed that Mi Air Charge Tech is currently a technical product only and will not be used in any commercial tech product this year and declined to provide a release time.

It is not known whether Xiaomi can overcome the operational and structural market problems of other vendors offering prototypes for offline wireless charging.

There are also health issues, and there is no doubt that when this technology is launched, it will be subject to strict scrutiny by the regulators.

The main technology of Xiaomi remote charging is positioning and power transmission.

The insulated charging platform developed by Xiaomi has an integrated five-level interference antenna with which it can accurately record the location of the smartphone.

A phase control group of 144 millimeter wave antennas is directly formed on the phone.

For smartphones, Xiaomi has also developed a miniature antenna assembly with a built-in beacon antenna and a receiver antenna assembly.

The beacon antenna sends location information with low power consumption, and the receiving antenna assembly converts 14 millimeter wave signal antennas from the load plate into electrical energy through a corrector circuit, turning the charging experience into a reality.

In addition, you should be skeptical about this technology entering the market until there is evidence to the contrary, as this mode of transportation has been advertised for many years but no company has successfully marketed it.

Companies like Energous announced true wireless charging technology at CES, but it wasn't getting enough attention.

Xiaomi has demonstrated tech breakthroughs in wireless charging technology in the past and is taking advantage of a massive hardware ecosystem that could theoretically benefit from it.
