Sony brings more PlayStation games to PC

Sony plans to bring more PlayStation games to the computer. Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment in the US, told British GQ magazine that Days Gone is the first game to be released this spring.

Game developer Bend Studio confirmed the news on Twitter, adding, stay tuned.

Sony has been reluctant to study PC games in the past. Although he announced last year that Guerrilla's "Horizon Zero Dawn" would be available on the PC that launched last August, his stance has softened.

When asked why the company changed its position, Ryan answered some driving factors: We now have our own game and development studio in early 2021, and they are doing better than before.

He added: Especially since the second half of the PS4 tournament, our studio has made some great games and they have the opportunity to present these games to a wider audience and understand the economics of game development, which is not always clear every time the cost of the game. Game creation increases, and so does intellectual property.

Ryan indicated that it would be easier to provide PS games to people who do not have a console, and he also announced the launch of new PSVR glasses soon.

It is not known what other PlayStation games could migrate to PC.

PlayStation's exclusive game library is excellent. We hope to see more Sony games on our PC in the future.

There are some highlights like "Our Last Moments 2", many of which are known as the best games of 2020, and "God of War", which is set to be released shortly after Days Gone's release.

Sony has been making games for personal computers for many years, and it now seems that it is easier than ever to play games on these devices.

However, the essence of the decision is money. Ryan noted that the cost of making the games is high and the more copies that are sold, the higher the cost. However, this is challenging for exclusive games since the player pool is smaller than the multi-platform version.

By selling its games to PC players, Sony hopes to generate more revenue from the games it offers.
