Kensington, the global leader in office computing and mobile solutions for IT professionals, enterprises, home offices, and professionals, today announced the launch of the StudioDock iPad platform.

The platform is compatible with iPad Pro or iPad Air with a USB-C port. StudioDock greatly improves iPad functionality and usability in both home and office environments.

The platform won the CES 2021 Innovation Award and eight awards from the top CES 2021. StudioDock does not require any software installation and is available in versions 12.9 "and 11".

StudioDock provides the following key features and benefits that improve and extend iPad functionality:

  •     Create a powerful desktop experience: Magnetically attach and detach an 11-inch iPad Pro, 12.9-inch iPad Pro, or iPad Air in portrait or landscape orientation for a true desktop experience and new experiences to advance creativity.
  •     Apple ecosystem fast charging: In addition to 37.5W of power via USB-C to charge iPads, which is 108% faster than Apple's 18W chargers, StudioDock also provides Qi wireless charging for iPads. IPhone and AirPod headphones with a capacity of 7.5 watts, and Apple Watch 5 watts can be equipped with a charger with a maximum capacity of 5 watts.
  •     Desktop workspace expansion: StudioDock provides single 4K HDMI 2.0 video output to support other on-screen apps like iMovie, Keynote, Netflix, Procreate, Shiftscreen, etc.
  •     Built-in SD Card Reader: StudioDock includes a UHS-II SD 4.0 SD card reader, which is ideal for photographers and can quickly access files without an adapter.
  •     The expansion ports feature additional functionality: Four USB ports (one USB-C port and three USB-A ports) allow users to connect peripheral devices such as keyboards, mice, USB storage drives, and printers. The platform supports 3.5mm audio connections. Suitable for connecting microphones or external speakers with fast and reliable Gigabit Ethernet connections, suitable for large file transfers or sensitive applications.
  •     Support and Warranty: StudioDock comes with a three-year warranty from a dedicated support team.

Ada Yang, global director of product management at Kensington, said: The release of StudioDock at CES has created a sensation as it is seen as a true game-changer for iPad users in both commercial and consumer applications.

It removes cables, but collects and charges all devices completely.
