Former Apple designer Christopher Stringer (Christopher Stringer) worked for the company for 22 years, co-developing products from HomePod to the original iPhone. Unveiled Cell Alpha, Syng's first new smart home speaker.

Cell Alpha is a futuristic coherent smart home amplifier that focuses on spatial sound. The price is $ 1800. If you want a stationary model, the price is $ 1969.

Cell Alpha contains amplifiers designed to generate low up and down frequencies arranged in a balanced power configuration.

It is paired with three distributed mid-range speakers that must be connected via a small output hole.

Singh noted that setting up the three speakers (called trifon) can create subtle sounds in a room.

Syng places high demands on Cell Alpha's spatial audio functionality. Designed as the world's first triple-speaker (3-channel) speaker, the spatial acoustic function surpasses the traditional stereo standard.

In fact, the subwoofer should be able to fill the room with surround sound, giving the impression that some sounds or instruments are coming from different areas of the room.

Similar to the HomePod, three microphones are included in the stand to measure the geometry of the room so that the ambient sound effect can be achieved with only one speaker.

Although Syng said a single speaker can create surround sound, and anyone who spends $ 5,397 can pair three Cell Alpha speakers in a room to maximize friction.

Syng hopes to generate revenue by licensing its audio technology and selling these devices, according to a report published in the Financial Times.

In terms of connectivity, Syng said: Cell Alpha supports AirPlay 2 and Spotify Connect over wireless networks.

The physical connection is handled via two USB-C ports. Syng also announced plans to release a USB-C to HDMI cable to allow Cell Alpha to connect to the TV.

The accompanying Syng Space app can be used to control settings and playback.

Syng currently employs around 50 people, including former Apple designers and engineers as well as former employees of Nest, Ring, Nike, and Facebook.

Cell Alpha is now available on Syng and is expected to ship in six to eight weeks.
