Intel is launching the Tiger Lake-H chip to compete with the Ryzen 5000

Intel has expanded the tenth generation of its Gen Core H series (Tiger Lake-H) to include five main processors and five commercial processors.

Both frequency bands include 35W octa-core and six-core chips, but the flagship Core i9-11980HK processor only has 65W.

Intel said: Compared with the previous generation of Comet Lake Series tenth-generation products, the new chip has improved performance significantly.

In terms of gaming, Intel said the Core i9-11980HK provides better frame rates in games, including Tom Clancy's Hitman 3, Far Cry New Dawn, and Rainbow Six: Siege.

The company has also targeted competitors, showing that the Core i9-11980HK outperforms the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX competitors in those games as well, and in some games, the Core i5-11400H (suitable for thin and light laptops) outperforms the AMD Ryzen 9 5900HS and performance. It looks like different games.

Intel didn't provide any information on battery life in its presentation, which is strange given that modern laptops with AMD processors have improved in this department over the past few years.

For more stringent specs, it supports Thunderbolt 4 with bandwidth up to 40Gbps, Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6E discrete technology, Optane H20, and Intel Turbo Boost overclocking and Boost up to 5.0 with Turbo Boost Max 3.0 technology GHz.

Commercial chips support the Intel vPro platform, which includes many of the company's security features and management tools, including Intel Hardware Shield, which includes new threat detection technologies, end-to-end cryptographic storage, and active management technologies.

The company said its Core i9-11950H processor is 29% faster in product development, 12% faster in financial services, and 29% faster in media and entertainment.

After AMD's Ryzen 5000 series announced its entry into the laptop market earlier this year, everyone focused on these new chips.

AMD octa-core chipset shows major performance improvements over previous generations, especially in terms of multi-core workloads and efficiency.

At the same time, Apple's M1 chip, which is based on the Arm architecture, provides excellent performance indicators while preserving battery life.
