iPhone 13 rumors confirmed further ahead of launch

According to a new report from Bloomberg, Apple's flagship iPhone in 2021, the iPhone 13, is the same size as last year's model, but by a smaller margin.

This reflects analyst Guo Mingchi's previous predictions.

According to Bloomberg News, this year's mobile will be a frequent upgrade to the iPhone 12 series, including processor, camera and screen improvements, when it's released in September.

Bloomberg reports that at least one of the four new devices is equipped with an LTPO display. This is a technology that Apple previously used in its smartwatches to dynamically adjust the screen refresh rate to save battery life.

This is in line with previous expectations of Guo Mingchi, who said that this year's iPhone pros will have LTPO displays and a refresh rate of 120Hz.

The report also expressed doubts about the possibility of seeing the iPhone 13 with an in-display fingerprint sensor this year.

Although Bloomberg said Apple tested this technology. However, he said he will not appear in 2021.

As early as 2019, Guo predicted that Apple's iPhone 13 model would be the first to have a fingerprint sensor built into the bottom of the screen.

Kuo said in March that the phone is unlikely to have a fingerprint reader in its power button.

iPhone 13 rumors get more confirmation

According to a recent Bloomberg report, the camera upgrade will include improved optical zoom for video recording. Guo previously said that the ultra-wide-angle cameras on both iPhone Pro models could be upgraded later this year.

Shipping is an area not covered by a Bloomberg report. There are rumors that Apple could release the iPhone 13 without ports. It relies on MagSafe instead of the Lightning port for power.

But Guo recently said that Apple believes the MagSafe ecosystem is not mature enough to ship the iPhone. This indicates that the Lightning port is temporarily here.

Apple is said to be preparing for a big iPhone 13 sales cycle. Bloomberg said it ordered up to 90 million units when it was first released in late 2021, which is more than the usual order of 75 million units in recent years.

The company appears to expect more people to switch to 5G devices, which will drive demand. But it may also benefit from sanctions against rival Huawei. Recently, the release of its latest flagship has had to be postponed.

In addition, the production of the new iPhone 13 should not be affected by the global shortage of chips. In fact, Apple's size makes it one of TSMC's largest and most important customers in the chip industry.
