According to a Bloomberg reporter's Power-On newsletter, the next Apple smartwatch will use its first all-new hardware design in years.

Gorman said the Apple Watch Series 7 will have a flat screen and bezel, which is clearly a result of the company's ongoing efforts to flatten the edges of every product in its product line.

Gorman pointed out that this watch is characterized by its larger size due to its small size and flat design.

The Series 6 screen should be slightly larger than the current screen. The size is also slightly larger than before, and each model has been increased by 1mm, 41mm and 45mm, respectively.

Unverified photos leaked last week showed the same size, 41mm and 45mm.

Gorman said the company is adding several new watch faces to take full advantage of the onscreen real estate. It includes an updated Infographic Modular interface filled with data.

The new Apple Watch face is unique to Series 7 and may not be available through software updates for the older model.

In addition to the optics, the 7 Series also has a faster processor. However, there should be no big health-oriented campaigns this year. Even Apple could include a temperature sensor in next year's model.

The Series 7's updated design continues the three-year strategy of major hardware updates for Apple Watch.

The first and last time the company changed the design of the case was the 2017 Apple Watch Series 4. Barring the introduction of new materials, this basic look and feel remains unchanged throughout the Series 6.

Apple usually releases new watches in September. Thus, revealing the Series 7 may not be so far-fetched.

Last year's Series 6 and SE watches were a major announcement at the company's event in September, as the iPhone 12 was pushed back to October.
