| Tik Tok is testing Snapchat-style stories |
TikTok has started experimenting with new Snapchat-style story features. Matt Navarra highlighted the feature on Twitter, and a spokesperson for the platform confirmed the test.
All social media apps tend to add stories and now it seems TikTok's turn has come.
This new feature called Tik Tok Stories appears to be similar to other Stories in apps like Instagram or Snapchat.
Stories will appear in the newly added sidebar, where you can see stories from the accounts you follow on the platform for 24 hours. Then it is automatically deleted.
Other users can also reply and comment on your story. Just like Instagram and other platforms, you can also click on a user's account picture to view the story.
The platform describes the functionality of the app as a new way to interact with fans. Users can create a new story by clicking the "Create" button added to the sidebar.
