| Android 12 is now available for Pixel smartphones |
The latest version of Android 12 has been available to developers and ardent fans through AOSP for a few weeks now, but today it has been officially released for people who want easy wireless updates.
The operating system is now available as an update for Pixel 3 and later devices, including the Pixel 3A, Pixel 4, Pixel 4A, Pixel 4A 5G, Pixel 5, and Pixel 5A. It is also launching from the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro.
Android 12 will hit the Galaxy device market from Samsung, OnePlus, Oppo, Vivo, Xiaomi, Realme and Tecno later this year.
The most notable feature of Android 12 is the Material You design language. It allows you to customize the appearance of the home screen to your liking.
This design language is more expressive than previous versions of Android, and its tools help coordinate the colors of icons shared between apps, drop-down menus, widgets, and more.
Speaking of tools, a lot of them have been updated to match the new look. Google announced today that it will roll out more than a dozen new or updated widgets for its apps by the end of October.

However, if you're primarily interested in Material You, you should know that Google says it's a pixel feature. Although soon it will cover more device and mobile phone manufacturers.
Android 12 will land on other phones later
In the future, Pixel phones are likely to get most of the early features on Android 12. In the past few years, the company has released some features to improve the efficiency of older Pixel phones.
Some features are only available in the new Pixel phones, so there are other reasons to consider the new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro phones.
The company announced at its hardware event that these phones are supported for at least five years.
To get the update, go to the Settings app on your Pixel phone and tap on the System option. Then search for System updates and tap on it.
