macOS Monterey from Apple is now available for download

According to Apple, the latest version of macOS Monterey is now available for download. The system has been publicly tested for several months. However, with the release, the company assumes that the system is ready for daily use.

As usual, Apple announced its latest version of macOS Monterey at WWDC in June.

New features include the ability to set Macs as AirPlay destinations for playing content from the iPhone and iPad, as well as shortcuts to the company's iOS automation software.

FaceTime and the new Quick Note feature have also been improved.

Some of the major system add-ons, Universal Control and SharePlay, appear to be unavailable at the time of publication. The company indicated that these two features will be launched later this fall.

Universal Control lets you drag and drop files between many different devices. You can also use the same mouse and keyboard to control many of the company's devices, including Macs, MacBooks, and iPads.

SharePlay can have the experience of sharing music, TV shows, movies, etc. when you sign in with FaceTime.

The company has stated that once the feature becomes available, you will be able to use it with Apple Music, Apple TV+, and popular unnamed third-party services.

The Safari browser has also been redesigned, with a more traditional user interface by default rather than the new tab design introduced at WWDC.

Early users complained, among other things, that these changes made it difficult to determine which tab is currently active.
