Qualcomm launches Snapdragon 695 mobile processor

Qualcomm has announced a number of new Snapdragon chips in its low-end product line.

The new line includes Snapdragon 778 Plus, Snapdragon 695, Snapdragon 680 and Snapdragon 480 Plus.

As the prices of 5G phones become more affordable, the company hopes to make these inexpensive devices more popular.

This gives device manufacturers more options in choosing the best mobile processor. In theory, it also gives customers more choices when purchasing hardware.

The Snapdragon 695 replaces the Snapdragon 690 in the company's lineup and is one of the highlights of the new chip. Unlike the Snapdragon 690, the Snapdragon 695 supports millimeter wave and 5G versions below 6GHz, which helps boost data speeds on cheaper phones as well.

This update brings a significant improvement in performance. Compared to the Snapdragon 690 processor, the company promises a 15% increase in processor performance and a 30% increase in graphics speed.

There's also the Snapdragon 680, which is an all-new LTE chip made using the same more modern 6nm process as the Snapdragon 695.

The Snapdragon 680 does not compete with the Snapdragon 695. However, its goal is to help companies that are still looking for pure 4G equipment to fill the gaps in Qualcomm's product line. This could help reduce costs in areas where 5G has not yet been deployed.

Qualcomm brings faster 5G networks to budget phones

There is the Snapdragon 778G Plus, an updated version of the Snapdragon 778G chip that the company announced earlier this year. The Snapdragon 480 Plus also updates the existing Snapdragon 480.

The Snapdragon 778G Plus chip has gone from 2.4GHz to 2.5GHz. The Snapdragon 480 Plus has been increased from 2.0 GHz to 2.2 GHz.

The four new chip platforms are expected to hit the market later in the fourth quarter of 2021. Work with partners HMD, Honor, Motorola, Oppo, Vivo and Xiaomi. You have expressed your interest in using the new Snapdragon chipset.
