BMW presents the 1 millionth electric car

Shortly before the end of the year, the BMW Group celebrated the delivery of its millionth electric car. Peter Nota, Group Board Member responsible for Customers, Brands and Sales, was a guest at the BMW Welt showroom.

The company offered a special bonus time of delivery. The customer received the key to his new car. Also got a BMW Wallbox including installation for safe and convenient charging at home as well as a credit for charging across Europe at BMW. .

Nota said: “The delivery of our millionth electric vehicle is an important step in our transformation. Our goal is to cross the 2 million mark in just two years.

He added, “As our product range is constantly expanding, we are setting ourselves ambitious sales targets, especially for all-electric vehicles.

The company aims to double its sales this year by 2022. By 2025, the group will provide nearly 2 million 100 percent electric vehicles to its customers.

The company predicts that by 2030 at least every second car in its sales range will be entirely electric.

With the BMW iX and BMW i4, the BMW Group launched two major innovative models in mid-November.

And these two models are well received by customers all over the world. This is reflected in new orders around the world.

Next year, the group will expand its range of electric products to include all-electric versions of the BMW 7 Series and the BMW X1.

BMW achieves goal of delivering one million electric cars

The BMW 5 Series luxury class will be added to the electric car series in 2023. This is to be followed by a successor to the all-electric Mini Countryman and Rolls-Royce Specter.

By 2023, the company will have at least one fully electric road model in approximately 90% of its current market segments.

In the next ten years, BMW intends to bring a total of about 10 million fully electric vehicles to the market.

The miniature production line will be fully electrified in early 2030. From 2030, Rolls-Royce will become an all-electric brand.

All new futuristic BMW Motorrad models in the city's traffic zone are also completely electric.
